I had to see a new client this morning and I asked her what she wanted done, why etc. My normal conversation with a new client except this time your light bulb came on for me. I asked her straight out “What triggers have you identified that made you ring me”.
She was silent for a moment then came out with heaps of things.
It was so helpful to our initial meeting that I came away with a clear picture of what she needed, she thinks I’m great [LOL] and I’m now putting together a change process integrated with compliance for her that we can work on together.
While discussing things she identified things that she said she hadn’t thought of before and it was definitely the triggers. I also notice by her Business Card that she has an MBA so it’s nice to think I have some tools that she has either forgotten about or didn’t get instructed properly on.
I normally work off a Risk/compliance model but I think the change model is going to begin the conversations and work into the risk and continuous improvement model perfectly which in this case will lead her to compliance and growing her business.
So, THANKS HEAPS.

Mr Robert (Bob) Molloy was the inaugural Program Director for AIM SA’s Graduate School of Business. He was instrumental in setting the strategy and direction for the first 5 years of the School and for ensuring the quality of course content and faculty expertise. Bob took a lead role in developing the program maintaining academic rigor but focussing on practical experience to ensure that the management education delivered to participants was applicable and relevant to the workplace.
Bob also championed a culture within the school which embraced a “Community of Learning” approach which ensured each participant was treated as a unique individual and encouraged peer interaction, collaborative knowledge-construction and a sense of loyalty and feeling of belonging to the Graduate School community.
As well as being Program Director, Bob also lectured in Subject areas such as: Managing, Leading and Developing People, Managing Consultancy Practice, Managing, Developing and Implementing Strategy, Strategic Organisational Change, Business Decision Making and Analysis and our Capstone subject General Management. The evaluations completed by participants of Bob’s courses were always excellent and included comments such as:

He expects high standards of himself and the school and consistently achieves them. His sense of humour, breadth of knowledge and experience has been instrumental in building the AIM SA Graduate School into a successful and credible Higher Education provider.
